Basic New Or Old Car Care Tips

Every 2 weeks or 5,000 km (which ever comes first)

     Check the lubricating oil level and viscosity. Add if necessary
     Check the level of coolant (liquid cooling) in the radiator tank and radiator reserve tank.  

Add if necessary.
     Check the windscreen cleaning fluid level. Add if necessary.


Every month or 2,000 km (which ever comes first)


     Check tire condition and pressure of the wind.
     Check the transmission fluid level (ATF). Add if necessary.
     Check the brake fluid level. Add if necessary.
     Check the Power Steering level. Add if necessary.
     Check the battery water level. Add if necessary.
     Make sure the lights work.
     Note the car park if there are signs of leakage
     Apply Wax car (to protect the paint).



Every 3 months or 5,000 km (which ever comes first)

     Check Auxiliary Drive Belt tension (eg. Alternator Belt, Aircond Belat).
     Check the battery condition.
     Check the mains (Hose).
     Check windscreen wiper (Wiper).
     Check the exhaust system



Every 6 months or 10,000 km (which ever comes first)


     Oil Change Lube and Oil Filter (Every 6 months / 10,000 km or 3 months / 5,000 km - Please refer to the manual of your car (Car Owners Manual).
     Check Suspension System (Suspension System) - Shock Absober.
     Create Tyre Rotation and Balancing.
     Adjust the carburetor (For cars that use a carburettor).
     Check Fuel Filter.
     Change Windscreen Wiper (Wiper)
     Clean Air Filter.

Once a year or 20,000 km (which ever comes first)

     Flush and Change Radiator Coolant.
     Services Air Conditioning (Air-Conditioner)
     Change Air Filter.
     Check the brake system including Brake Lining, Rotors and Drums.
     Check the System Battery Charger (Charging System - Alternator).
     Create Balance and Alignment Wheel (Wheel Balancing and Alignment)
     Change Fuel Filter (for cars that use a carburettor).
     Lubrication for the chassis.
     Tune up Engine

Every 2 years or 40,000 km (which ever comes first)


     Change the Manual Transmission Fluid, Filter and Gasket Tank.
     Change Automatic Liquid Tarnsmisi (ATF), Filter and Gasket Tank
     Change Fuel Filter (for car use Fuel Injection)
     Wipe grease Wheel Bearing.
     Lubricate (Lubricate) all hinge and padlock
     Brake Fluid Change (Brake Fluid)
     Change Spark Plugs

 

Every 3 years or 60,000 km (whichever comes first)

     Check the wires on the ignition (Change if necessary)
     Check Cooling System (Cooling System). Change if necessary (Hose).
     Check the tension and condition Timing Belt.
     Change the battery (if needed)

 

Every 5 years or 100,000 km (whichever comes first)

     Timing Belt and Auxiliary Belts (eg. Air Cond Belts, Alternator Belts)

     Travel less than 10 miles or 16.3 km.
     Drive "stops and roads" in the city.
     Driving in dusty places.
     Interesting trailers.
     Car not driven in a long time.

 

TIPS ABOUT YOUR CAR Smoke

     On car exhaust emissions do not need to worry NEW.

     But, if the car has a few years old, occasional note  your car smoke color.

     This is because the smoke color gives an indication if there is a problem with your car engine.

     In fact, by looking at the color of the exhaust, you can look into the burning process that occurs in the engine cylinders. Pay attention on the following indicators:

Does your car smoke or little bit blue color ??

     If this happens, you should be relieved because it shows the combustion process with the ratio of fuel-air mixture is right.

If Yellow or brown colored smoke

     Means too little fuel in (mixture too little).

Black colored smoke

     Means that there is no perfect combustion process because too much fuel entering.

White or colored smoke Bluish


     Mean follow flammable lubricant (in the engine cylinders).



## Highlights

In cold conditions usually also white exhaust smoke because of the water vapor, the situation such as this, however, is usually on every engine.


In the black exhaust smoke, there are several possibilities that can cause the condition occurs, including Air Filter (Air Filter) is blocked, the Air Valve (Choke) closed or damaged carburetor.
